We've expanded the split-shift feature
to allow three-way splits. Now it's easy to display when a provider needs to temporarily
step away from an assignment or to break a 24-hour shift into three 8-hour sections.
There's no automated way to schedule splits and so we recommend splitting shifts only
as an exception to standard coverage. If you find yourself entering splits every Saturday
and Sunday, for instance, create a second and perhaps third row that's staffed only
on weekends and customize the hours on the main service for weekends.
